Goodbye Singapore, hello Melbourne

Goodbye Singapore, hello Melbourne

After four fantastic days and three fun nights I will leave Singapore and fly to Melbourne.

First a little wrap up what I’ve done, seen and experienced in Singapore:
Wednesday, 15 of January early morning, I arrived in Singapore and checked in at the Copthorne Kings Hotel in the city centre where Dennis left me a room key to fresh my self up and prepare for the naming Ceremony of the Ndeavor and the Ndurance, two new vessels of Boskalis Westminister N.V. Just after the ceremony I went to the cocktail reception at the rooftop of the Fullerton bay hotel. Nice!! Met a lot of new people during this reception and exchanged some business cards. In the late evening I took a cab to Holland Village, a area with a lot of bars and restaurant, where Dennis and I would meet each other. Was great to see you again! Dennis, his colleges, the models….. and I celebrated my first day traveling, my first day Singapore. The only thing I would like to mention is that the nightlife in this city is more then Oke..:-)

Just after an amazing evening I had a long sleep!… Explored the city… like taking the river taxi to Marina Bay, walked over Clarke Street and Orchard street. Had a cappuccino every morning at Kith Cafe, watched the Australian open on TV at the Boomarang Restaurant (Australian Restaurant). Ate an enormous pizza together with Dennis (we were happy one of Dennis his colleges helped us out to eat that giant piece of pizza), chilled at Sentosa Island, which is like a fantasy island. Had Lunch while sitting in the sun….at the rooftop (57th floor) of the Marina Bay Hotel (skin Burned). Ate sushi till we dropped… Wrote some emails, drunk some beers and enjoyed this first part of my journey.!

Next stop: Melbourne!

In 60 minutes I will board flight AK1818, which goes from Changi Airport Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. There I will transfer to flight D7 214, KL to Melbourne where I will arrive around 09:00u (local time).

Ajuu!
