Nose in the butter
Yesterday, after a twelve and a half an hour flight I arrived in Singapore (05:35am local time)… Jet lag?!
Day 1
I took the cab to the Copthorne Kings Hotel, freshen myself up and went for a small breakfast. Thanks Dennis Hak 🙂
At 11:30am I got picked up by a taxi and we’re dropped at the main office of Boskalis Singapore where I was invited to celebrate the naming of two new vessels. After a little walk over the warehouse and a lunch in the office we got picked up by busses to go the the Keppel Shipyard where the Ndeavor and the Ndurance where waiting to be named. After the official ceremony I went on one of the ships for a ship tour.. Nice to be on heavy machinery 🙂
In the evening I was also invited to join the cocktail reception at the rooftop of the Fullerton Bay Hotel Wow unbelievable! With view over the bay it was absolutely magnificent to stand there and celebrated..with a beer.. my first night of traveling !
The cocktail reception was also a good place to exchange some business cards 🙂
At 20:00u the laser show of the Marina Bay Hotel began where I definitely had the best view to watch this show !
At 21:00u I just finished my last beer, thanked Boskalis for the invitation and went to the Holland Village to meet up With my Nyenrode friend Dennis Hak.
The only thing I got to say, in Singapore they know how to party ! Cheers!
