Fraser Island
Whooho…! Back on shore after an amazing 3 days 3 nights Fraser Island! Due to the weather, the accommodation, the food & drinks and especially the people I met made my Fraser Island experience unforgettable !
Last Friday, on lovely valentines day, I spent my first day on the biggest sand island of the world. First I met Dan from Wales on the ferry who’ve been working for 6 months straight in Sydney in a warehouse. He had a few days off and went straight to Hervey Bay for the Cooldingo tour! Glad we booked the same tour men !
After arrival on Fraser Island we got picked up by Martin, the tour guide who is also known as the weirdo John Locke (what a lookalike haha!). John guided us to a 45 seater German MAN 4WD 400hp bus and drove us, together with 20 others to a fresh water lake for a swim, lunch and where we would pick up the rest of the group.
After the group was complete (40 people in total) we went for a bush trail which became the foundation of a friendship between two girls from Ireland, Jo and Olga, Dan from Wales, Jack Jesus from England, Agustin from Argentina, Jimmy the Youngone from South Korea and me !! We had an hilarious time together and I am so glad we were on the same trip, jeej!
During the days we’ve seen and done a lot of things, like: swimming in fresh water lakes, driving along the 75 mile beach, enjoy the view point of Noosahill, walk through Creeks, burn feet due to the HOT sand! Plane trip over Fraser Island, spotted marine life like sharks and sting rays, staring to Dingos, chilling in the pool, sunset beach, drinking beers, having really nice breakfast, lunch & dinner, get lost when trying to find the lookout point for nice sunset view, drinking Cocktail Juggs, playing card games, laughing, walking, sweating, Champagne pools, try to learn the cup song, sing a song for each other, laugh, drinking beers and Cocktails Juggs (again), groupies, selfies, illegal stay over and many more!
I can conclude this is one of my best valentine day / weekend ever !!

At the moment I’m in Airlie Beach (chilling in the hostel, because last night I’ve been in a 12hours bus ride) and I just booked a sailing trip to the Whitsundays for 2 days 2 nights! Looking forward to that trip aswell !
