Byron Bay
Hellowa again ! Last week I wrote an update while I was staying in Sydney & Manly, however the post didn’t contain all my txt… Grr, I was typing on my phone for an hour, almost lost feeling in the thumbs, and when I uploaded it the half of the post disappeared.. Result: not amused…but, luckily… I’m still enjoying my trip !
At the moment I’m 230m above sea level, drinking a cup of coffee in the 5th tallest residential building in the world. The Q1 tower is located in Surfers Paradise, along the Gold Coast where I arrived this morning. Sweeeet view!
The last couple of days I was in Byron Bay, East Coast of Australia, which almost took me a 13hours bus drive from Sydney. Last Thursday, on the 6th of February at 08:00h in the morning I arrived in Byron and bought myself a cup of coffee. I had actually no idea where to sleep, so during the breakfast I used the internet to figure out the “hot” places in Byron Bay. Eventually, after multiple cups of coffee (I enjoy Coffee..Lekker bakkie hee!) I ended up in the Acquirius hostel.
The hostel was really nice…! A pool, Ping Pong table, pool table, a bar, karaoke, good atmosphere and really Nice roommies ! We played uno (Card game), chilled on the beach, drove to Nimbin (Weeeeedcapital of Australia), prepared dinner together, played uno, did some surfing on the waves, drunk some beer, played uno, drunk some beer again, player uno (with special rules and drinking), chilling on the beach and so on! It was the planning to stay in Byron just for 2 nights, but I added an extra 2… Really nice spot to hang out for a few days!
Oh I almost forget to tell. I also had a AUS$50,00 haircut ! Haha.. Whoops, little bit expensive. But I needed one though.
So now I’m Surfers Paradise, which looks like Miami? (Sky scrapers everywhere !) where I will stay for 2 nights and then I’m off to Brisbane / Fraser / Arlie Beach.
